# Terms of use

Notice | Chain Sheet | Updated: 24 September 2026

These terms cover the sheets published at echoblock.org and the figures printed on them. A sheet is
published information about trading venues, put together from the documents those venues publish and
from readings we take ourselves. It is not advice, and reading one is the whole of what this site
offers: there is nothing here to buy, join or sign. What follows sets out the limits that reading
comes with — what a figure claims, what a leveraged contract can cost, how a wrong figure gets put
right, and what this publication is and is not to the venues on its sheets.

Sections on this sheet: What a sheet is and is not · Leverage and the size of a loss · Figures and the date beside them · Corrections · This publication and the venues · Quoting, copying and availability.

## What a sheet is and is not

Everything on this site is published information. None of it is investment, legal, tax or
accounting advice, an offer or solicitation to trade anything, or a recommendation that any
reader use any venue named on a sheet. A score is arithmetic and nothing more: the five criteria
and the weights printed on [how we rate](/how-we-score), applied to inputs printed beside the
score itself. It describes what those inputs were on the day they were read. It does not forecast
what a venue will do next, does not promise the venue will still be running next month, and says
nothing about whether the venue suits the person reading. Where to trade, whether to trade at
all, and everything that follows from either, belongs to the reader alone.

## Leverage and the size of a loss

Every contract compared on these sheets is a perpetual future: a leveraged contract on a price,
settled in cash, with nothing delivered at either end. Leverage is what makes a small move
expensive. An adverse move of a fraction of a percent can take the margin behind a position in
full, the venue decides when that moment has arrived under rules it is free to change, and the
closing price is the one its engine reaches rather than one anyone agreed to. Funding runs the
whole time a position stays open, in one direction or the other, so holding a position costs or
pays before the price has done anything. Whether a venue will accept a particular reader at all,
and on what conditions, is settled by that venue's terms and by the law that applies where the
reader is. This site assesses neither and can do so for nobody.

## Figures and the date beside them

A figure on a sheet is what we read or measured on the date printed next to it, and it claims
nothing about any other day. Venue documents were read on 18 September 2026 for the sheets as
they stand, and a venue is free to change a fee schedule, a leverage ladder, a market list or its
terms of use on any morning, without notice to anyone who writes about it. Our own order-book
readings are narrower still: they come from one day's readings, from 20 September 2026 into 21 September 2026, a reading every ten minutes, and a book is a
different book minutes afterwards. Weaker again are the two market columns — open interest and
24-hour volume are what a venue returns about itself, CoinMarketCap carried those returns on
22 September 2026, and nothing on this side of the page tested them. Before a number here decides
anything, confirm it where it came from.

## Corrections

The one remedy this site can offer for a figure that is wrong is to put it right, and that remedy
is open to anyone. A message that can be acted on names the sheet by its address, quotes the
figure as it currently stands on the page, and points to the source showing a different value; a
message arguing that a placing is unfair, with nothing behind it, is read and changes nothing.
What happens next is fixed: the claim is checked against the source given and against the venue's
own document, the sheet is rebuilt where the figure moves, and a figure that can no longer be
sourced comes off the sheet instead of being defended. A rebuilt sheet is republished under a new
revision date, so a date that has not moved is a statement that nothing beneath it has changed.

## This publication and the venues

Chain Sheet is not a broker, an agent, an introducer or a representative of any venue on any
sheet. It holds no money, routes no order, opens no account, and can act for nobody in a
disagreement with a venue: where a sheet cites a venue's own page, that page is reached by an
ordinary link, the same way any other site is reached. Venue names and marks belong to the
operators that own them and appear here to identify what is being compared, not with anyone's
permission and not as anyone's endorsement. This site carries commercial placement, set out under
paid placement in [About Chain Sheet](/about). What the arrangement does not reach is the
arithmetic, which is printed in full, criterion by criterion, so that a placing can be followed
rather than believed.

A different crypto project occupied this domain until the spring of 2024. This publication is not
its successor and carries none of its obligations: no token, balance, allocation or undertaking
made under it has any bearing on what is published here, and nothing on these sheets revives any
part of it.

## Quoting, copying and availability

Quote what is useful. A quotation that names the sheet and links to the page the figure sits on
lets whoever reads the quotation check it, which is the point of printing sources at all.
Republishing a whole sheet, or rebuilding one as a page of your own, is a different thing and is
not covered by that permission. Automated readers are welcome at a rate one server can answer,
and every page answers in markdown at its own address, so a copy costs far less than crawling the
layout for it. The sheets themselves are published as they stand: nothing here undertakes that
the site will be reachable, that a cited page elsewhere still answers, or that a sheet is free of
error. What is undertaken is the paragraph above — an error, once shown, is corrected or removed.

Publication of this sheet is bought.
